PERSONALIZED
KI-AVATARS

GERMAN | ENGLISH

As of now the demo video is only available in German.

ADVANTAGES

The benefits of a personalized AI avatar for video production are clear.

Huge Time and Cost Savings:
No set, no lighting, no speaker. Just write a script – done. Ideal for regularly updated content without the recurring costs and hassle of traditional video shoots.

Easy Corrections:
Script changes are no problem. Videos can be updated and regenerated in a short time – without any input from the actor. Even weeks or months later, revisions can be implemented quickly.

Multilingual and International:
Avatars speak dozens of languages fluently.

DISADVANTAGES

However, it is important to look beyond the AI hype and be aware of its limitations.

Multilingualism is great, but…
… individual accents get lost. When a German native speaker’s avatar speaks English, it does so flawlessly – which can lead to a sense of artificiality.

Limited Emotional Range:
AI avatars remain digital. They are unsuitable for emotional storytelling or authentic interviews.

Static Setting:
No outdoor shots, no interaction with real people or environments.

TECHNICAL LIMITATIONS

Even with professional training, you can still tell – upon closer inspection – that it's an avatar, albeit a very good one.

Lip movements are often imperfect, minor geometric distortions may occur. There's no full control over facial expressions or movements; targeted individual gestures, for example, aren't possible.

CONCLUSION

So it's essential to weigh the pros and cons individually – depending on use case, budget, and expectations regarding impact and emotional appeal. For standardized content like training, product updates, or multilingual explainer videos, an AI avatar offers enormous efficiency and cost advantages.

However, when strong emotional connection, spontaneity, or creative imagery is needed. For example, in image films, employer branding campaigns, or customer testimonials, this format reaches natural limits.

The key is to use the tool appropriately for the task – and supplement it with professional production elements where needed.

CREATING THE AVATAR

Each avatar is based on reference material from the real person being cloned. For this most important step in the pipeline, we film a handful of short video sequences – in 8K, professionally lit and mixed.

Using this footage, multiple AI models of the performer are trained, which are then combined for video creation. Despite the general unpredictability of AI results, this gives us a certain degree of control – for example, over the avatar’s gestures.

One or more outfit changes are also recommended, allowing you to spontaneously choose the appropriate look from the avatar’s style collection for future videos.

INITIAL SETUP & COST

The one-time time investment for shooting the required AI training material is usually only about half an hour for the performer.

After that, an unlimited number of videos can be created based on written scripts – along with desired graphics, animations, presentation slides, music, or stock footage – just like in a conventional video production.

Costs therefore only arise for the initial shoot and, going forward, for each necessary video post-production.

LOCATIONS

This reference footage can be shot at your company’s location, at external sites, or in our studio. The latter is especially suited for professional green screen recordings – although simplified versions are possible in almost any setting.

With green screen, we can place the avatar onto any desired background. We train the AI model using the professionally implemented background from the start to ensure maximum visual quality, rather than cutting out the finished animated avatar afterward – which often results in rough edges and an artificial “photo wallpaper” effect.

For shorter or simpler videos with lower demands on background quality, this approach may still be an option – depending on the desired result.

Of course, maximum realism and the best quality are achieved using real locations as backgrounds. If you don’t want to switch locations for your videos, this is the best option. Even then, it’s easy to additionally film a green screen template during the production of the reference footage.

OVERALL CONCLUSION

The combination of a high-quality AI avatar – based on professionally produced training material – and thoughtful post-production takes your videos to a whole new level.

Even though AI tools are widely accessible today, the difference remains clear: only editing, rhythm, sound mixing, animations, and visual effects turn an AI-generated clip into a true, brand-enhancing corporate video.

Professional post-production gives the avatar context, pace, and visual finesse – ensuring your message not only lands but leaves an impression.

The big advantage: Scalability.

Professionally built templates and workflows enable content to be produced in series – consistently, quickly, and in high quality.

For simple use cases or very tight budgets, a more minimal video with just the AI avatar can certainly be produced – with reduced post-production, but still functional and efficient.
